Gary + Kara | Wedding

I have been waiting for their wedding for quite sometime now! Gary + Kara were my first adventurous couple to have an engagement session on the High Level Bridge… I can definitely say they both are up for anything! When we started talking about their wedding details I quickly got a glimpse that they both were anything but traditional. Even though I knew all the details from previous talks, I was still just as excited to experience each part of their day with them and their guests and all the surprises along the way. I have so much to share!I met Kara and her mom Patty in the Presidential Suite at the Crown Plaza. You can view what seems like the entire city of Toledo from this suite! Wow. Lots of gorgeous light!

Kara was joking that the day had gone so smoothly and stress free, that it didn’t feel like a “wedding day”…

…then THE moment came… the realization of being in THE dress.   🙂

The finishing touches…

Gary + Kara decided to do a First Look session. This is honestly the “top secret” to how you can have a stress free wedding day. This happens before the ceremony, about 2-3 hours (depending on wedding party size). After, family portraits and wedding party photos are scheduled. Portraits are so much quicker before (less distractions) so after the ceremony we only shoot about :10-15 minutes and it’s strait to partying and enjoying what you’ve spent months planning. A First Look is a special moment that is shared between the bride & groom. It’s a time to connect and enjoy being together without family and friends. It’s just your time. Moments like these cannot be captured any other way. Enjoy Gary + Kara’s first look…

Love it!

Gotta love this location! So many great spots for portraits!

Very picturesque with “our” bridge faintly painted in the background.

It’s very rare for me to feature sooo many smooches…. but I love ’em all!

More kissing!!!

Beautiful Kara!!! I love your hair!! Lots of flair…. the camera loves you!

So I hear they dance in their kitchen all the time. I could tell. I watched them all night. Lots of cute steps and flirty fun.

The wedding and reception was decorated to the 9s at the Navy Bistro.

Each center piece had a location that was special to Gary + Kara. I really loved the display of heirloom wedding portraits!

I don’t think you can get much more creative than this! A personalized Jersey for sign-in!

The ceremony was sooo romantic with all the twinkle lights!

The new Mr. & Mrs… Woot! Woot!

A song was authored just about Gary + Kara’s relationship, entitled “Buckeye Baby.” It rocked!

The cake was cake, but not traditional. How cool are these cake pops?! Gary + Kara are the coolest.

What a party! During dinner we listened to Gary’s personal selection (interesting… everyone at my table was naming that tune or singing along). The ceremony and cocktail hour featured musician Jeff Stewart. Then the party got going with Doug Bermick, who is Professional Sounds.

Cheers! View the wedding GALLERY to see all the amazing photos from Gary + Kara’s day.
