David + Lauren | Wedding

I first met Lauren + David over the summer for their engagement session. We carefully planned the when’s and where’s and then crossed our fingers for good weather. I say this because they were just up here for a bit to visit with David’s family. They are soooo very blessed to live in Savannah, GA!!! Not long after our session I myself visited Savannah and we met again. Anytime I can get to know couples more before, the better it is for knowing what makes them laugh, smile, and be, well… natural. I didn’t have to worry with Lauren or David though! Lauren had lots of emotions and special moments for me to capture on her day….

Lauren wasn’t into a wedding veil. It just wasn’t for her. Her mom had a different view. A veil was the finishing touch a bride needs walking down the isle. As a surprise to her mom at the Salon, Lauren asked her to get “something” she needed at the bottom of her dress bag. It was the veil, the finishing touch.

Lauren, I’m posing the picture with the “least” tears.  🙂

The ladies received a fun pep talk before the ceremony in of all places but the locker room. 🙂 The team was instructed to hold their flowers low (to see the dress), walk slowly down the isle, and to smile!

Lauren had lots of colorful details…. take notice to her cake topper. We reenacted this pose for their engagement session and after their ceremony… maybe you can spot the photo further down in this post.

So pretty!

More of my favorites…

The handsome men…

I don’t know what Lauren wrote to David… not sure if tears were supposed to come. We waited… he just smiled after and said, “That’s so Lauren.” 🙂

The ceremony was at Heatherdowns Country Club. Just a day prior it was sunny and warm! We had cool weather… but beautiful lighting for photos!

A unique twist to the sand ceremony. Lauren’s family is from New York and Florida while they live in Savannah and his family is from Toledo. Everyone had vase with sand from their respective locations that they filled one vase to symbolize the unity of both families.

Lauren’s sister has a beautiful voice! A very special moment during the vows.

They did it!!

Lauren’s bouquet had photos of loved ones that were with her in spirit this day.

Does anyone spot the cake topper pose???

Sometimes on cold days we do a switch for the ladies!

So cute. Love the shoes Lauren!!

David made this heart on Lauren’s lower back naturally while dancing at the reception. I just happened to spot him! Since Lauren’s family is mainly from NY of course they did their song!!!

Love these shots with Lauren and her Dad!

My favorite moment from the entire wedding! Aren’t they adorable?! For photographers out there wondering why my reception shots are so colorful… I have to give credit to the DJ!! Awesome back lighting.

One of the best moments was Lauren’s grandmother singing a song from the 40’s to the newlyweds. It was a treasured moment that can’t be put in any better terms than to say it was priceless. David had a big smile on his face after and was like, “Grandma is the coolest!!!”

Congrats!!! To see all of their wedding photos visit their GALLERY.
