Milwaukee, WI | Travel

Josh & I visited Milwaukee for the first time last Fall. Since Milwaukee is known for their cheese we just HAD to see what all the hype was about. We stopped at Milwaukee Cheese Mart’s Cheese Bar to do our sampling. OH MY!!!! We have been deprived of REAL cheese flavor our entire life!!! I can’t praise Wisconsin cheese enough! It was a revelation. The 5 & 10 year aged cheddar was so rich and had a nutty taste. Unlike anything we had experienced to date. You bet we brought some home! Everything we sampled we loved! I am definitely going to have to do more weddings in Milwaukee for a “cheese run.”

For lunch we headed to Buck Bradleys, which was just a short walk from our hotel.

Josh loved the meatball sub and I had to get all the cheese I could fit in this trip so I ordered a… GRILLED CHEESE!!!

Next we headed off to explore the Harley Davidson museum.

For touring a museum Josh sure had a lot of questions to ask me. I was just there to support him and take pictures. He had other plans. He wanted to know my favorites in all the parts and types of cycles. I’ve since learned that Harley’s are so popular because they are fully customizable and come with so many different options.

For dinner we headed to The Water Street Brewery for a Philly cheese steak and Jambalaya!

That evening we went to a Brewer’s game. We got a bobble head upon entry too!  I thought it would be a cute picture but Josh said I couldn’t post it because no one thinks of Hank Aaron for this team.

It was a good weekend trip for us that ended in a BIG surprise for me. I should have known better at the Harley Davidson museum with all the questions for “my likes”. On Monday Josh brought home a Harley to my astonishment! Vroom! Vroom!
